What we collect
To create an account we store your email address and a bcrypt-hashed version of your password. We never store your password in plain text. A random session token is stored to keep you logged in.
Trip details & prompts
The trek preferences and chat messages you submit are sent to our backend and to Anthropic, whose Claude model generates your itinerary. Please don’t include sensitive personal information in your prompts.
How we use it
We use your data only to operate the service — authenticating you, generating itineraries, and applying rate limits to prevent abuse. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising.
Retention & deletion
Account data persists until you ask us to delete it. Session tokens expire automatically. To request deletion of your account, contact us.
Security
Passwords are hashed, sessions are random tokens, and the service is served over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, so use a unique password.
